ARTEK
Artek is a Vitra subsidiary founded in Helsinki in 1935 by four young idealists: Alvar and Aino Aalto, Maire Gullichsen, and Nils-Gustav Hahl. Their goal was “to sell furniture and to promote a modern culture of living by exhibitions and other educational means.”
In keeping with the radical spirit of its founders, Artek today remains an innovative player in the world of modern design, developing new products at the intersection of design, architecture, and art.
The Artek collection consists of furniture, lighting, and accessories designed by Finnish masters and leading international designers. It stands for clarity, functionality, and poetic simplicity.

FREIGHT
Freight is calculated by ship to zone, total list price, density, weight and quantities. Freight will always be calculated into your quote. Please contact us for best available rates. Minimum charges apply.
COMS
The Vitra Colour & Material Library comprises a variety of textiles and leathers, but also features solid materials, including the colours and textures of plastics, metals, woods and other materials. Some but not all Vitra products allow for COMs. Please contact us for fabric testing or to verify if a COM is approved for use. Testing occurs at Vitra HQ in Germany, so please allow extra time for the testing process should you choose to pursue a COM.

Today, companies are increasingly being judged on what they are doing to take on ecological, social and economic responsibility. Vitra does not see this responsibility as a duty that has to be forced upon the company, but rather as an aspect of design that has always been a part of the company’s industrial culture. At Vitra, it goes without saying that furniture is valuable when its production, utilisation and recycling does not harm people or the environment. WARRANTY
Vitra warrants that the products are free from defects in material and workmanship for five (5) years from the date of delivery. Please find here the detailed Warranty programm. To make a warranty claim, you must contact Vitra via email with pictures and your acknowledgement number at service.us@vitra.com to obtain instructions or feel free to contact us for help.
